We are having an issue in our environment that we haven't been able to resolve.
Does anyone know how to prevent this tab from from automatically opening in chrome? I'm running out of ideas and removing the extension appears to be my only option. I've searched through the windows registry and file system to try and find where this is coming from but with no luck. What I would like to do is prevent this new tab from ever opening. I can block the URL in GPO, but the Tab will still open, it just says the page is blocked. admx templates, but the Tab continues to appear. I've configured this default page on the local installs and through Group Policy using the Chrome. This is a controlled environment and we require all web browsers to open a company webpage by default for all users. Since this is installed as part of an image, this page is appearing for all new users who log in and launch Chrome. After the extension has been installed, on the next launch of Chrome, a new tab will automatically appear and open the page at. I've built a Windows 10 Enterprise v1709 image for my labs and offices and have run into an issue with the Acrobat Reader extension for Google Chrome. If anyone knows of a fancy (or not so fancy) way of creating a patched MSI I would love to hear it. I've read the recent threads on Intune deployment but I don't have the luxury of shared locations to put the MSP in and reference with the Intune app deployment package. Perhaps there's a way I create a new MSI file from the contents of c:\newloc?Īm I barking up the wrong tree trying to do this? The reason I need a single MSI is to deploy via Intune which only supports MSI. I don't know why but I was hoping it would have given me a patched MSI. I tried the msiexec /a acroread.msi /p acrordrdc1801120035.msp target=c:\newloc but it just created a new AIP.
Is there anyway that I can update the MSI with the contents of the MSP file into a new MSI? I downloaded the current exe installer from the distribution portal and extracted the files shown below from it: I want to create a single MSI installer which includes the current base MSI (Reader DC 2018.011.20035 English for Windows 10) AND the MSP that comes with it.
